Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Back Pain, Swelling In Neck And Lump On Arm?
I have upper back pain on the right side and it is sore and I can feel a knot there. It has been on going for about six to eight months. I also have a recent growth on my right arm resembling a mole, but it is larger than a more. It is more like a nipple than a flat mole. It has been there about six months it has gotten bigger, but seem to be not growing as much now. I also experience lower back pain on both sides, but it feel more like pressure than pain. Finally I have slight swelling on the right side of my neck.
As per my surgical experience, the presence of mole with raised surface (may indicate new changes in previously existing mole as dysplasia or else), lump on arm and neck (may be lymph node or else). The fullness or pressure over lower back can be in concern with general malaise, weakness or systemic inflammatory response reaction.
I would request to discuss the need of work up of the case with your treating doctor for underlying reason as auto immune response or else: - Complete hemogram, ESR - Ultrasound and Doppler examination of the neck region - X-ray (chest) - Biopsy of skin mole, arm lump or cervical lymph node as per the expert clinician decision
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
