Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I have been having very extreme back pain as well as internal discomfort since before Christmas, my ultrasound came back that my liver is enlarged to 17.3cm and that I show mild pelviectasis on both kidneys, however my pelvic exam showed uterus endometriums and serveral fibroids measuring up to 1.7cm as well as a left ovarian follicle measuring 1.5cm and free fluid in the cul de sac. My doctor has told me that the pelvic exam will be forwarded to a gynie but suggested that everything was OK with the kidney diagnosis. Should I be at all concerned over the pelviectasis or could it just be a side effect from the pelvic issues?
Dear patient You have endometriosis and and uterine fibroid which are known cause for lower back pain. Also ultrasound Finding of pelviectasis is compatible with normal life but opinion from urologist is required. Pelviectasis cannot be a side effect of pelvic issues. So you need to take a visit to gynecologist as soon as possible and get yourself examined. Meanwhile start tab ibuprofen 400mg thrice a day for pain relief. Ct scan of abdomen plain SOS contrast may be required to assess kidneys and liver.
