What Causes Back Pain?
My height is 5'1 and I'm about 115 lbs. at age 45. I have back pain on upper right side of back. It also hurts worse if I touch the spot of my back. I did strain my back a few weeks ago doing yardwork. It seems to hurt worse when I am stressed or upset. My main concern is that I smoke but I have not been coughing or any shortness of breath.

Hi...ur symptoms suggestive of fibromyelgia....its not a serious issue...u just need some physiotheropy like rubbing tender spots in circular fashion and heat fermantation will also be usefool....antiinflamatory drugs might be needed if pain is severe...dont worry.n get well soon
