What Causes Backache And Diarrhea While On Prilosec?
last wednesday my doctor put me on Prilosec for gas at night...I also take aspirin quite a lot for minor back aches. Saturday I suddenly developed diarrhea which I rarely have. by Saturday night I was passing blood with stools and now I am still passing quite a lot of blood in stools as of 7pm tonight (6/20). My first impulse is to hit the emergency room and find out the whys. I did have a colonoscopy that was clean in summer of 2014. --james 65 age

Blood in the stools is always an ominous sign.
You need to go to the er dear and we have to find out the cause .
Maybe you didn't have gas maybe it was just a first symptom of some other disease .
Only an through examination and investigation can help us in that.
