What Causes Backache And Difficulty In Urinating After A Surgery?

patient had surgery to remove a tumor near his spine. 68 years old, entered hospital with back pain and trouble urinating. post op, repeats himself and cannot walk. surgeon claims muscle atrophy. wishes to discharge and place in rehabilitation. the cause of tumor was originally stated as several mini strokes, throwing blood clots that lodged/created tumor. does this sound correct?

* The history of any dysuria before surgery is very vital in this case, which is missing.
* If the urinary complain was there before the surgery, multiple possible reasons can be there ; but if the urination difficulty appeared only after surgery that means it is definitely surgery related.
