What Causes Backache Upon Lying Down?

Asking for a friend 42 years old has pain in back when lying down at night. Had blood work done at good hospital because it was thought to be kidney stone or stones and scan ruled stones out. This person was at Burning Man in desert recently just got back and I am wondering if it is a virus caught on plane or ? She wakes up in the morning soaking wet.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Backache is very common and mostly because of muscle strain, however backache which is worst at night and is associated with profuse sweating needs more evaluation.I would like he should see the doctor, and get some test like calcium, CBC ESR, and X-ray of spine may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
