What Causes Bad Body Odor While Suffering From Sinus Infection?

I had a sinius infection and took 3 different antibiotics to get rid of it. Now I have this scent/odor that comes from nowhere any time it wants to. It also comes when I eat fruit-can t have anything fruity, drink sodas or eat candy that has a fruity base. The odor comes out when it wants too. When I go to the Doctor s office, no scent. I know I am not going crazy-I think they think so though. YYYY@YYYY

Hi..

Well the symptom of scent like smell through nose when having Sinusitis seems consistent with a condition known as Phantosmia..

It can occur due to a number of conditions like nasal infection and polyps, migranes, Oral and dental infection, smoking habit, condition related to Nervous System , head injury etc..

As you have sinus infection, the symptoms seems related to it..

I will suggest you to consult an Otorhinolaryngologist and get checked..

As of now you can do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation with few drops of Eucalyptus oil in water, use decongestant nasal drops like Otrivin, take a course of antibiotics etc.
