Hello doctor. I am a female, age 23 and I had unprotected sex on Monday and Tuesday of this week and afterwards (Tuesday) took an emergency contraceptive (Postinor 2). I noticed I now have a yeast infection, which has happened in the past after the same series of events, with the same partner. I have been monogamous with this person for about 4 years and whenever I have unprotected sex with them I contract a yeast infection afterwards. Not sure if it's my partner or a side effect of the contraceptive before mentioned.
I do know that my partner's hygiene is questionable however, and at times notice strong offensive odours from his penis when he pulls back his foreskin.
