What Causes Bad Taste In The Mouth Upon Yawning?

For the past nine months I have had a foul taste in my mouth after I yawn. It is progressively been getting worse. I don t notice any white pockets or patches on my tonsils. No fevers or sore throat. Small chronic swollen lymph node on the right side. What could be causing this?

Hi,

Bad breath or Halitosis can occur due to oral or throat infections, sinusitis and other causes of post nasal drip.Antibiotics should be used to reduce bacterial growth which will inhibit the odor forming bacteria. Salt water gargling and brushing twice a day will reduce the symptoms. Gastroesophageal reflux and indigestion can also cause bad breath. Proton pump inhibitors once a day before food and probiotics thrice a day after food can help in reducing the symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
