I have seemed to have no resistance to infection having had a severe ear infection requiring several different medications to cure taking 3 weeks and then I developed bronchitis which took 3 weeks to get under control. I have also developed an underarm odor which is not YYYY@YYYY
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Underarm odour could be bad because of sweating and perspiration, coupled with the dead skin cells, which provides a medium for the bacteria to grow. You can do the following to overcome it. 1. Shower at least twice a day using medicated soap to wash away sweat as well as reduce the number of bacteria on your skin. 2. Choose an antibacterial bath soap. Washing thoroughly with an antibacterial soap will reduce the bacteria count, in turn reducing the odour. 3. After shower, make sure you dry the area completely. 4. Use antiperspirants twice daily which contain aluminum chloride, a chemical that reduces sweating. 5. Wear fresh set of clothes every time. 6. Avoid foods that tend to make you sweat more - hot peppers or other spicy foods, aroma of foods such as onions or garlic and drinks with caffeine or alcohol. 7. Drink plenty of water. By adapting the above measures, you should gradually overcome the problem of bad odour. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
