What Causes Bad Vaginal Odor After Intercourse?

I wasn t sexually active for 5 months (ended a long term relationship). I slept with an previous partner, instantly the morning after there was a horrible smell in/around my virgina. The smell was obvious when I would urinate during the course of the week, I use special washes to cleanse... We slept with each other again and the smell has lingered, comes and goes intensely. I am not sexually active at the moment and have never had this before- could it be bacterial given the smell was evident within 12 hours? I am not experiencing any pain or discoloured discharge.

Understand your Concern
Following are the causes of bad vaginal order after intercourse:
1. Vaginal infection: bacterial vaginosis, as cahnge in bacterial flora and Ph after sex, increase risk of infection
2. Hygiene problem: as semen mix with vaginal bacteria and secretion cause bad vaginal odor.

I will manage this type of case as below:
Vaginal and pelvic examination is needed and swab can be taken to diagnose vaginal infection (swab test).Urine test should be done. It should be treated by
Metronidazole plus clotrimazole orally or vaginally supossitory.
Mintain hygiene by intimate vaginal wah or V vaginal plus wash to maintain normal pH and vaginal flora that prevent further infcetion.
Use lactobacilli suppository. Wear pure cotton loose undergarments.(or penty hose)
Eat yogurt and avoid excessive sweets and yeast. Wash vagina with warm water with added apple cidar vinegar 2-3 times per day.
Maintain hygiene before and after sex. Use condoms and safe sex practice.
Drink plenty of waters.
