General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for posting your concern here.
After going through your concern indepth i can assure you it is perfectly normal.Your daughter has a condition called Telogrn Effluvium. It is a fairly common condition and this temporary hair fall devolopes following stress, dietry deficiencies, high fever, infections etc.
The hair growth cycle has two phases Anagen and Telogen.
Anagen is the growth phase and Telogen is the resting /shedding phase.A normal person has around 90% hair in anagen phase and rest in telogen phase at a time. But following stressful condition more anagen hair goes into telogen phase and the person will have diffuse but non uniform hairfall.
As i said earlier this condition is temporary and the hair will recover within 4 to 6 months after resolution of the stressful situation(typhoid fever in your daughter's case)
If i were your doctor i will advise you to give your daughter a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, adequate rest and avoidance of stressful conditions.
I hope i have helped.
Thank you
