my 9 year old daughter just started bed wetting, she even had an accident one day at school and one night not only did she pee in bed but also shit in bed. she is a type one diabetic we keep her sugar under control so they are not always high I dont think we can blame it on her diabetes but I really dont know why she keeps peeing in bed this started about 7 months ago
Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have bed wetting problem , she is also diabetic . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like small bladder , nerves that control the bladder are slow to mature , hormone imbalance , stress , urinary tract infection , sleep apnea and diabetes . In your case the symptoms are either due to weak nervous control or diabetes I would suggest you to consult endocrinologist for diabetes and hormonal changes and psychologist for nervous control . For now ask her to consume less water in the evening and avoid beverages and foods with caffeine .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
