Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have trouble with I believe eating too quickly, I get what feels like a huge Painful air bubble going down similar to what it feels like when a pill doesn t go down smoothly. I have excessive salivia, and end up throwing up a small amount of what Ive eaten. The gas seems like I just need to belch to releive it however I m unable to right away. This happened last weekend when I was out to dinner and again last night when I was out to dinner- not really during the week. Any ideas as to why or what I would need to do aside from eating much more slowy?
welcome to hcm, I really appreciate your concern, Belching can be due to, 1 Indigestion. 2 Hyper acidity 3 Tension or anxiety . 4 Excessive food . Now these measures may be useful for you. Try raising your bed about 4 inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for 2-3 hours before you lie down. To help control burps you should not drink excessive tea or coffee or eat chocolates or spicy of greasy foods. Also take some enzyme preparation like symethicon+fungal diastase . But if burps are severe you may need drugs like proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole , once or twice in day ( normal dose is once in a day ).
Light food is the best while high calories food always produces burps or belch or gastritis . Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks. regards.
