Hi there and thanks for asking us on HCM.
Trichoton forte is a good choice for hair health as it contains
biotin, zinc,
selenium, copper and vitamin B5. Unfortunately, this medication can cause reflux and
constipation.
Medication that prevents acid production in the stomach can be used short term to ease symptoms. However, more importantly, what she eats, when she eats and how she eats will play a bigger role in bringing about healing.
Your sister should eat small, frequent meals - this means eating every 2 to 4 hours when awake to gradually distend the stomach and allow it to digest small portions of food. Food eaten should be bland - processed and fast foods are not recommended at all. Spicy, oily and sour foods should be avoided. Beverages like coffee, tea, hot chocolate and alcohol should be avoided. Instead, porridge with egg, chicken, fish or lentils, oats, soy, light salads and clear soups will help with healing. Drink enough water and eat enough fruits and veges - having a bowel movement everyday if possible is important to help her recover. However, this may be difficult as bile
reflux medication can cause some degree of constipation.
She should adopt this diet for at least 2 to 4 weeks. Once she is feeling better, she can slowly go back to eating 3 proper meals a day.
Do not let her lie down for at least an hour after meals as this encourages reflux. Have her sit up or take light walks after food to ease digestion. Supplements that will help are probiotics - get some that are of a good quality and have her take it daily for at least a month.
I hope this answer is satisfactory. Thank you and take care
