What Causes Bitter Taste In The Mouth After Taking Medication For Typhoid?
Hi doctor.. I was diagnosed with typhoid fever which was strongly positive 1 month back.. I took medications for 14 days bd. Now it s going to be one week since I left my medication but the bitter taste in my mouth is not going.. My mouth tastes very very very bitter...there are no other symptoms.. Do I still harbour the infection.. What should I do doctor.. I m very upset as my xams are approaching and due to this bitter taste I feel sick..
Sometimes medications given for typhoid can cause bitter taste in the mouth. what i usually prescribe my patients in a similar situation would be antacid and probiotics for about 5 days. T. PANTOPRAZOLE 40mg one tablet daily before breakfast for 5 days. c. VIZYLAC 1-1-1 for 5 days. MAintain a good healthy nutritious diet. Drink 10-12 glasses of water a day.
