What Causes Bitter Taste In The Mouth?

My dad has been experiencing a feeling of getting hot, starting with his face and neck and then moving to his limbs. He then gets a bitter taste in his mouth. It started happening very rarely but in the last few days it has been happening about 8 to 10 times.

Hello,
Welcom to Healthcaremagic.com.

There are lot of causes for altered taste (dysgeusia). In your case it is associated with feverish symptoms.

It seems to me it can be because of fungal infection. It can also be because of Vitamin B12 deficiency or Reflux esophagitis.
You must take citrus fruits and baking soda for relief.
You need to maintain your oral hygiene by brushing twice daily. Clean your tongue by tongue clean
.
You can also use Candid tongue lotion 3-4 times daily.
If you feel more of it you must visit a dentist physically for further evaluation.

Hope my answer will help you.
