What Causes Black Colored Stools And Cramping In Abdomen During 31weeks Pregnancy?
Im 31 weeks pregnant and have been passing black stools, with extreme cramping in my lower abdoman area that seems to only go away when I sit up. Are the stools normal? And is the cramping just Braxton Hicks. Im wondering If i should be worried for the saftey of my child.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. After going through the complaints, it appears that passing of black coloured stools might be due to taking of iron and folic acid tablets. However, you need to avoid constipation during pregnancy. Cramping sensation can also be due to constipation associated with intake of iron and folic acid tablets. Hence you can avoid it by intake of fibre rich diet in the form of consumption of more fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water and keep yourself well hydrated. All the best.
