What Causes Black Discoloration And Blisters On Breasts?
Hi, i am 11 days post op, i had a breast uplift performed. my nipples have turned black in some areas and i have some yellow discharge, there is also some blisters. do you think this is narcrosis? what could be the discharge and bleeding? i am obviously concerned.
* As per my clinical experience, the black discoloration and blisters on breast following surgery of breast lift do indicate matter of concern as
- infection with gram positive bug as Staph aureus, epidermidis
- compression through compression sleeve if given for arm support
- altered blood sugar
- wound infection.
* It is mandatory to get
- immediate consult with your surgeon
- sterile dressing
- if required surgical debridement
- culture of pus or blister fluid for antibiotic assistance
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
