What Causes Black Eye Floaters After Having Laser Eye Surgery?
I had my right lense replaced some 8 months ago due to my eye contact number rising to -12. The other eye was -2 at the time. Before surgery I also got laser done to prevent chances of retinal detachment. I have developed black colored floaters in the eye. They have recently increased in the the last 3 days. There is also a web like structure in my field of vision. What is your advise. drmh

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Though floaters are age wise degenerated particles in vitrious humur. But your past history of retinal problem, lessar surgery you underwent recently followed by increase in number of floaters also. The web-like deficiency in your vision demand an urgent ophthalmic (specially retinal) examination followed by specific treatment in time.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
