I've just felt a lumpy sore spot behind my ear and went to blindly squeeze it thinking it to be some pimple. What I found was a white gummy looking thing, very similare to a black head, but with an extended "tail" very similar to a thin white hair. It was attached to my own hair and part burrowed into the scalp. I remember finding something similar months ago, but not thinking much of it. Could it be some sort of parasite. What i call the head is about 3mm long while the tail is probably 10mm long. The lump took a few days to go back to normal and it was in a different part of my head. Can anyone advise.
