Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Black Out Along With Weakness And Dizziness?
I keep having spells where I black out ( I mean total black) and feel weak and dizzy, and then it goes away within seconds! I drink a case of water a day because I sweat alot. I am not over heating. I do take 20mg of lacinepril for blood pressure. But no other meds. The spells a cure when I m moving.
These spells may be due to postural hypotension or BPPV or neurological problems like TIA or stroke or cardiac dysfunction, etc. So need 24-hour Holter monitoring of blood pressure and tilt tablet test needed.
Along with that ECG, ECHO, MRI brain may gives clear picture. Avoid high risk activities, use tablet Vertin 16 mg thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
