I have been having black seseme looking seeds in my stool. Also I passed what looked like a chunk of gravel. Painfully I might add. My father had colon cancer, my maternal aunt had stage iv colon cancer and passed away. It will be weeks before I can get a colonoscopy. I m having a little concern about this!
The most common causes of tiny black specks in the stool are supplements in the diet. Dark-colored stools may result from iron supplements, foods you eat ( a lot of spinach), substances, but most significantly suggests bleeding from the stomach, small intestine or large intestine.
