What Causes Black Spot On The Foot?

I have a black spot on my foot and it wasnt always there and it seems to be getting slightly bigger. I havent measures it but its dark colored and the surrounding area looks smeared a light coloration... it doesnt hurt at all.. what is it..should i be worried?

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Dark spot on foot has many differentials. There are five zones in foot with different lesions predominant.
Zone 1. connective tissues histocyte reaction, ganglion cyst
zone2. shwanoma, viral wart
zone3. inclusion cyst,
zone4. plantar fibromatosis
zone 5. mucoid cyst, intradermal Nevis

All that you have to do its biopsy with histopathology of specimen. If it was wart or Nevus then these are benign needs cryotherapy which is best option.
