What Causes Black Spot On The Throat With Fever?

ok my 11 yr old son has had aa low fever for 4 days he did not complain about sore throat until today , I looked into his mouth and there is a black spot about as big as a pencil top eraser on the back of his throat. Could he have streph throat or virus.

Dear black spot in throat is difficult to tell causative until unless examination is done.

It may be due to post nasal drip cause hyperemia look darker than remaining tissue, it may due to reflux cause erosions on throat look reddish brown may appear like it black. Some time ulcer with crusting may appear like black.

Please consult your Ent surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
