Hi, I noticed there are some black spots on my some of my fingers over night. I don t have any food allergies. Not sure what they are, but it the first couple days only 7 out of 10 fingers have them. However, I started noticing that there are some dark sports starting on my 8th finger.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Black spots on the fingers commonly occur due to exposure to the sun or artificial UV lights, allergy to something you might have touched.

Hyper-pigmentation can be indicative of liver dysfunction or cancer. If it is in the nails it can be due to melanonychia.

You are suggested to get physically examined by a GP. Ge evaluated so that the treatment can be started.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
