General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Blaçka stool is usually caused by hemorrhage is the upper intestinal tract, usually in the stomach. If the black stool continues, I suggest going to the emergency room for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
