What Causes Black Stool And Abdominal Pain While On Ovral?

I m taking ovral l for irregular menstrual cycle. I have taken 20 tabs n 1 left. Bt since 1 week my upper abdominal pain and chest burn started. Stool are also not in form... Sometime black stool and sometime diarrhoea.... Feeling of vomiting..... Can it b side effects of ovral l??? Now i should take that 1 tablet or not... I m confused...missing one tablet... Does it make difference???

Since you have been on Ovral for over 20 days and your symptoms started just a week ago, it may not be due to side effects of this drug.Also, black stool may not be a side effect of this drug though abdominal pain has been described.
Black sttol is often noticed in case of upper digestive hemmorhage and will always need to be investigated.I will suggest you see the Doctor to investigate you for causes of upper digestive hemmorrhage like gastric ulcer, oesophageal varice of gastric cancers.If need be, endoscopy may be requested.
