Aspirin causes gastric irritation and at high doses wil cause mild bleeding, the same blood changes colour to black when expelled along with stool due to iron content in blood. Aleve also contributes to gastric bleeding if taken with aspirin and thus may lead to gastric ulcer in long run. dexilant will help to reduce acidity and gastric bleeding to some extent but not completely. it s better to switch to other pain reliever for arthritis and not Aleve as there are many options with some pain relievers not having gastric sideffects.
