Felling sick for three days alongwith black stools can be due to the following reasons: This looks to be most probably due to an intestinal condition that is inflamed and hence bleeding too causing the sense of sickness. Black stools also called as malena is due to the bleeding anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract as with the digestive process the red blood is transformed into black color of the stool. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the stool checked for three consecutive days,. Blood tests for CBC, Widal for typhoid, blood culture and sensitivity, other relevant tests as would be decided by your Doctor on clinical evaluation and examination. Upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy is a must. CT scan of teh abdomen. All this will lead to a proper diagnosis and hence gives the plan of management. You may need a course of an antibiotic and probiotics. Stop taking any medicines that has iron and stop meal and meat products.
