What Causes Bladder Burning And Frequent/incomplete Urination After Hip Surgery?
I had hip surgery 6 weeks ago. I was cathed on day two because I couldn t use the bed pan. On release to home I urinated so frequently (every hour for sure) for the whole first week and during the night every hour still. At the end of week 2 I developed what I thought was a bladder infection (no fever) and called and they did another sterile cath. It showed nothing. Now - 6 weeks later - I am having bladder burn, the urge to want to eliminate, and incomplete urination. What the heck is going on?
I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms.
I also suggest doing a urine test to confirm the diagnosis.
If the diagnosis is confirmed, I suggest taking a cycle of antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
