What Causes Bladder Discolouration And Pain Along With Irregular Urine Flow?

Hi, I recently had blue balls for 2 days, now I can t pee correctly, during the time of having it I got a bad pain on the left and right side near my bladder, after sexual release i had no pain though. (Before the blue balls i had no signs of anything and i was ok) I m still not having a strong stream of pee it just seems to dribble out sometimes and it almost always feels like I have to go. Would really love to know if it could possibly be an std, maybe seamen stuck in my urethra or just some type of infection maybe? Please get back to me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Patient,
Thank you for your question. The condition you describe as ''blue balls" is common among young men. When you are sexually aroused, it causes pelvic venous dilatation. If your arousal persists for long and due to impaired testicular venous drainage, pressure build up and causes pain. This pain often removed when you experience sexual release because sexual release ease the pressure build up in testicular veins. This is absolutely normal. Urine flow just after ejaculation is slowed down because when semen passes through urethra it is closed for urine.
However, If you are experiencing slowed down your urine passage for days and having a feeling like bladder is not empty after urination, your prostate gland has to be checked by a physician Urologist. Sometimes prostate can be inflammed and enlarged which can slow down urine flow and cause pain during urination. Hope you have got the answer. If you have more questions, please let me know.
Good Luck!
