What Causes Bleeding After Abortion?

Hello. i have a problem. On 11.1.2012 i made an abortion .everything was normal . i was feeling good and after 5 days i made sex. i had just a little pein, but the problem is that from the next day till now ( 3 days ) i have blood which dont stop.. is not much but i think is not normal. i take pill from the day when i made the abortus and i had blood just 2 days after abortus. im thinking to take some antibiotic . can you tell me if its ok? and which one is better? i cant go to the doctor everytime.. is far away and my parents dont know about that . me , i have 18 years, 1,55 cm and 55 kg. thank u verry much

Hi dear,
I have understood your problem.

There could be following causes responsible for your bleeding:
1. The abortion was incomplete, hence the bleeding has started.
2. You have started your sexual activity too early after abortion. It is most likely that during this sex, you have contacted some infection which has started bleeding. Is there any foul smelling discharge?
3. Could be that you had infection before hand which has got exacerbated causing bleeding and pain.

Please report to your Obstetrician. If it is incomplete abortion, you will need evacuation under antibiotic umbrella. For infection, antibiotics will be required.
