What Causes Bleeding After Abortion?
i had an abortion on the 5th of march 2011.i bleed so little for two days but then again on the 8th of march,i had sharp abdominal pains like period pains and i started bleeding again.i have some blood clots and the blood colour is darker red than the first day of the abortion.

1.Symptoms like this are seen in incomplete abortion.
2.There might be retained products of conception in the uterus.
3.Try some pain killers for a day or two, if resolved well and good, if spotting and pain still persists.
4.You need to see your doctor and get an ultrasound pelvis done for confirmation of the retained products of conception.
5.And needful procedure done (dilatation and curettage is treatment of choice in this case)
