General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Pregnancy can occur despite of taking I pill following an unprotected penetrative sex even if the ejaculation was outside the vagina.
This is due to pre ejaculatory secretions which contain sufficient number of active and motile sperms capable of fertilizing the egg and hence pregnancy.
Further, the I pill can be effective in 90% of the users.

In view of the above there may be a possibility of pregnancy which can be ruled out doing pregnancy test on the early morning urine sample.

Hope to have answered your query.
