Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed a few times today after urinating that only after wiping I see small amounts of blood but very light pinkish red color but the urine looks normal. I have no pain when urinating and I don t have any urge to run to the bathroom... everything is normal except what I see on the tissue. I ve reached menopause because I haven t had a period in over a year. Is this something to worry about? Can cranberry juice cause a pinkish color on the toilet paper after urinating?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. There can be lot of problems that can causes blood in urination. 1.Most common is Urinary tract infection. Urine examination would be done. Presence of Pus cells , tissue and red blood cell will suggest infection. 2. Stones in the kidney, bladder or ureter may cause bleeding if small stone gets passed through urinary tract. 3.Trauma by Vigorous exercise 4.Benign prostatic hyperplasia 5. Other uncommon kidney and Urinary tract problem including tumour So you should visit a nephrologist, if problem persist or reoccurs
Don't worry you would be fine Hoping your query is solved.
