What Causes Bleeding And Painful Pierced Ear Hole In Children?
My daughter sears haven been pierced for 10+years. Today when she took one pair of earrings out her right ear hole for her earrings started to bleed but the other did not. What would cause it. She put another pair of earrings in her ears today and then tonight took them out and bleed again. We cleaned with wound cleaner and rubbing alcohol and then it stops. Very weird. Please advise any advice you may have.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain bleeding from earhole can be due to infection in the area of ear piercing while at times tightly packed earrings can lead to lack of air flow to the area of ear piercing and can lead to inflammation and slight area of necrosis.. I would suggest you to avoid wearing the earrings for a few days and clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply an antibiotic ointment over it.. Cool compresses can also be relieving.. You should wear earrings a bit loosely fastened so that air can flow easily.. You should also wear gold or plastic earrings as they are inert materials and will not cause allergic reaction..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
