General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

What symptoms you are experiencing is due to side effects caused due to depo shot. Few of them experience such symptoms of nausea and menstrual irregularities during first few weeks of its intake. You need to take certain supportive care to overcome such symptoms.

Gradually, it should stabilize and such symptoms should disappear. However, if such symptoms persist and becomes bothersome, you need to seek medical attention promptly by consulting Obstetrician. You may need to change for the contraceptive which could suit you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
