Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
During my last two bowel movements there was a small amount of blood on the toilet paper. Tonight when I had a bowel movement there was bright red blood in the toilet and some clotting when i wiped much like I had my period. I drink plenty of water and have recently added more fiber to my diet.. I usually have about 30 grams a day. I m only 22 so I m concerned that this is something serious. Any help would be appreciated. I plan to see a doctor this week.
You may be suffering from haemorrhoids or fissure in ano. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use syrp Lactulose thirty ml after dinner for five days. Drink plenty of water.
If symptoms are not improved get it done examined per rectally. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
