General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Bleeding during the defecation could be due to constipation (hard stool), piles, polyp.
Rectal examination by surgeon is must to confirm the cause if bleeding will continue.
Meanwhile take following advises:
Take lactulose syrup 15-30 ml per day
Soluble fibre intake like senna
Warm (but not hot) sitz bath: sit in about 8 cm of warm water for 15 minutes, several times a day, especially after a bowel movement.
Apply petroleum jelly or zinc oxide containing ointment.
Drink plenty of water and do regular exercise to make the bowel movement regular
Hope this may help you
