What Causes Bleeding During Urination After A Colonoscopy?
My mom just had a colonoscopy yesterday removing part of a cancerous mass. She is now urinating blood. The doctor gave her a recital exam while in the hospital. He said the blood was old blood and not coming from the rectum. He sent her home and said not to worry. Is this a cause for concern as her hemoglobin is now 7.9
Of course, urinating blood is a cause of concern. Most probably it comes from rectum as a result of the procedure. There is no possibility of being old blood. If it still continues after proceeding hours go to hospital.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
