What Causes Bleeding From A Burn Wound?

Hello. I had a 2nd degree burn about. 6 days ago from a hot iron. The area of the burn is getting smaller, however yesterday it started bleeding after I cleaned it. It is not that painful and there is no swelling. I am just worried it might be infected? Is this a sign that it is

Bleeding does not necessarily mean that there is an infection present.

Signs and symptoms of infection are increasing pain, redness, swelling, discharge and warmth.
Silver sulfadiazine is the anti septic cream that is normally prescribed for burns and would be helpful for healing.

You should also apply a topical antibiotic as well with each dressing.

If you are not sure if the area is infected then you should see your doctor for an assessment.
