What Causes Bleeding From Ear After Taking Medicine For Sore Throat?
my 52 year old daughter has had a sore throat for 3 weeks and loss of voice doctor gave her tablets for her nerves but nothing for her throat tonight her left ear has bled badley from inside i spoke to her on the phone a short while ago she said bleeding had eased please could you advise what it could be thankyou nora

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bleeding from ear after taking medicine for sore throat . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Viral Pharyngitis, Tonsilllitis along with secondry bacterial infection and bleeding from can occur due to injury due to q-tip or rupture on ear drum due to other reasons . You should take antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin for 5 days. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.Take mucolytic medicines like Ambroxol. If there is congestion, decongestant like Pseudoephadrine .You will have to continue salt water gargles atlest 3 to 4 times a day. It is very imporatnt to keep your ear dry and keep it covered while bathing . Avoid hot and spicy foods.
