Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 13th month old has his front teeth, four on top and four on bottom , he has had all of them in for months. He is currently breaking one of his top back left molars in and is presenting as teething, although his top front gums are the gums that keep bleeding, not the gums where the tooth is cutting.?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your query bleeding from gums during teething can be due to inflammation in gums and the inflammation can be generalized and not limited to only area where eruption is taking place.. There is also a possibility that due to not maintaining proper oral hygiene there are also deposits over teeth leading to infection and exaggeration of infection.. I would suggest you to consult a Pedodontist and get evaluated and in case if there are deposits over teeth scaling will be done.. In case if there is only inflammation due to teething then cool compresses over the gums and maintaining proper oral hygiene will relieve soon..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
