My sister seems to be suffering from excessive sneezing. She says the sneezing started 3 weeks ago, and 2 days ago, the sneezing has been followed by a nose bleed. The bleeding seems to go on for an hour or longer sometimes. Is there something I can do, and should there be cause for alarm?
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query. The bleeding from nose following sneezing can be because of the negative pressure created during sneezing and rupture of terminal blood vessels. The other possible cause can be because of any infection in the nose. So consult an ENTSURGEON and get it evaluated. Mean while you can apply pressure over the bleeding site for 2 to 3 minutes. I hope I have answered your query. Take care
