While using ear bud in right ear I saw some blood on the ear but little. I went to near by Metro Hospital but ENT specialists are on leave and will be available after 15th August.Kindly advise can I use soliwas or some other . I have no pain. My left ear is OK
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of bleeding in the ear canal after using ear bud which could be because of rupturing of blood vessel and it could be due to perforation of eardrum.
Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. You should keep your ear dry and maintain hygiene of ear canal. You should apply warm compresses to external ear. You should take proper rest. Avoid excessive use of mobile as it will put pressure. Take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin( if not allergic) along with Ibuprofen. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor will examine with otoscope and order CT scan.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
