What Causes Bleeding In The Left Ear?

my boyfriend age 58 has blood running out his left ear, he says its been itching the past few days and thinks maybe he scratched it, it started last night he put cotton in it and this morning when he took it out it was very bloody. last night he put hydrogen peroxide in to clean and flush it. he did find a scab or something in the sink when he let the peroxide come out.

It looks like the symptoms of itchy and bleeding from ear are most probably due to ear infection. The scab like thing can also be a chunk of ear wax, however without seeing exactly cannot be said. So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated. If there us infection then a course of antibiotics Ciprofloxacin can be taken orally along with antibiotic ear drops. A manual cleaning and disinfecting of ear can be done. Avoid excess water exposure to ears and also maintain good hygiene.
