What Causes Blister Beside The Frenulum In Mouth?

Hello. Thank you for your time. I have this little blister right beside the frenulum in my mouth. It happened right after I accidentally jammed my toothbrush against it for two consecutive days. I don t know if the situation is purely coincidental or has any part in creating this blister. I have very good oral hygiene, so I doubt it s an infection from lack of oral conditioning. Could you explain this?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain it seems that you have a TRAUMATIC ULCER caused by injury to the frenulum by your toothbrush.

It will heal itself but if you have any pain or soreness you can apply numbing gel like orabase or mucopain gel to relieve the discomfort..

Maintain good oral hygeine.

Avoid traumatizing that area again.

Avoid hot,spicy and hard foods.

Keep yourself well hydrated..

If there is pain you can take Ibuprofen or calpol for relief from pain and inflammation..

It will slowly resolve in 6 to 7 days but if there is increase in size or aggravation of pain you should see a doctor..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
