Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a blister on my gum line under my tooth. Looks like a canker sore but on my jaw line I have a lump on my face under the skin. They are both in the same area and its tender.. I don t want to make a trip to the dic if it will just go away on its own or if I can do a home remedy
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a blister on the gum line along with a lump under the skin of face on same side seems to be most probably due to a dental abscess or a periapical abscess in case if it associated with a decayed tooth.. The lump on the face is due to pus formation below the root tips of the tooth that gets accumulated into the soft tissues and it leads to swelling in the area where tooth is present.. It cannot be home treated and needs evaluation.. Consult a Dentist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. You can be advised Root Canal Treatment of the tooth followed by a course of antibiotics and painkillers.. Do cool compresses over the swelling..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
