What Causes Blisters On Tongue And Throat With Elevated WBC?
My daughter was diagnosed with mono 5 months ago she got over that but she keeps having sore in her month, today she got blisters on her tongue and throat the test for strep and mono was neg wbc was slightly elevated my question is what would be causing this to keep happening
Understanding your concern. As per query you have symptoms of blisters on tongue and throat with elevated WBC. The symptoms you mention occur due to untreated infection which causes problem. Infection lowered your immunity that is why you are getting mouth sores. Need not to worry.
I would suggest you to :-
- Take one spoon of honey in lukewarm water daily in the morning to boot your immunity.
- Do warm saline rinses several times a day .
- Do beta-dine rinses twice a day .
- Apply orabase gel on sores .
Consult ENT specialist for proper examination to find out the exact cause. Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test and endoscopy of esophagus. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti allergic drug steroid ointment for cold sores or aspirin.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
